CAPSULE-01 FINE ART TERRA SERIES

Terra 001

Sale price$900.00

Brass rises from a plastered and painted ground. In this original work by Anne-Marie Barton, organic contours catch the light and cast shadows across the surface. Part of the Terra Series, the piece carries the feeling of landscape through material, reflection, and relief.

A word from Anne-Marie on Fine Art

With Terra, I’m following the feeling of a landscape. The rise of a ridge, a worn surface, the way sunlight finds one contour and leaves another in shadow. Brass gives me a way to bring that movement into the work. The light keeps touching it differently, and the piece keeps revealing itself.

–Anne-Marie Barton

The making

A surface that holds your gaze

Color, plaster, and molten brass offer different ways into a landscape. A ridge appears in relief. A field of pigment opens into distance. Light finds something new as it moves across the surface.

These original works bring a little of that encounter into the everyday: something to live beside, return to, and see differently over time.
